Malaysia - Jimmy Choo - Multicolour spring design 2002

Jimmy Choo was born in 1952 in Penang-Malaysia into a family of shoemakers. He made his first shoes when he was 11 years old. He attended Cordwainer's Technical College, graduating in 1989, and the College of Fashion in London. All Choo's shoes are made by hand and his perfectionist craftsmanship is displayed in their simple details. Choo made a countless number of shoes for Princess Diana while other followers include Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Blanchett, Catherine Zeta Jones, Nicole Kidman and Elizabeth Hurley. In 2003 he was awarded an Order of the British Empire (OBE) by the Queen in London for promoting London as a centre of Fashion Footwear Design.
