Canada - Ladies' glass-beaded moccasin wrap boots

This smoke-tanned all moose-hide wrap boot is created by the Dogrib Indian tribe of the Northwest Territories. A long tie of smoked moose-hide is laced through the back and front at ankle height. A small tie holds the wrap together at the top. Front-part, heel-part and upper boot-wrap are decorated with multicoloured, floral patterned, overlay-stitch beadwork using glass beads.
